Position Description

BRMi Technology is seeking a Scrum Master w/ Robotic Process Automation experience to support a large client in the Northern Virginia area.
• Leads and engages single- or multi-functional project teams across the entire software development lifecycle; including ideation, assessment, prioritization, planning, design, development, testing, deployment, support and enhancements
• Manages project planning and production implementation; including charter, scope, schedule, resources needed, issues, risks, changes, quality, vendor relationships, support, reporting, and incremental enhancements
• Coaches and supports the standing up of "Pods" in business units consisting of three key roles; in project management, development and analyst such that the Pod becomes a long-term self-sustaining partnership among the roles
• Plans and appropriately resources projects with worker resource hours, tools and materials suited to each given project
• Closely manages project scope and ensures... appropriateness of scope to the time, resources and business outcomes expected
• Monitors project progress and ensures that methodologies established by the Automation Center of Excellence are maintained by all members of the project team
• Monitors progress of individual team members and removes blockers, brings additional resources to bear when/as needed, and supports team members as necessary
• Effectively manages expectations of business and technology leaders across the enterprise, as appropriate, to effect the timely completion of project goals
• Closely monitors quality of artifacts, deliverables and adherence to client and Automation Center of Excellence policies and standards
• Reports to a diverse group of stakeholders on initiatives, status, blockers, next steps, and progress at all project stages

Required
• 5+ years software/application development Agile Scrum project management experience as the leader of the team
• 3+ years hands-on experience using Agile Scrum project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, or similar)
• 3+ years direct interface experience with business customers across diverse enterprise departments/business units
• 3+ years experience in executive presentations to diverse audiences spanning business functions and seniority levels
• 2+ years business process analysis experience
• Agile Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and/or higher level Agile certification from the Scrum Alliance
• Excellence in articulate communication; both in-person and via webconference and/or phone, with individuals or teams from diverse professional backgrounds
• Strong leadership presence and effectiveness in training, coaching, and leading seasoned functional specialists in new methodologies, tools and processes
• Experience in effectively interacting with individuals in all levels of leadership roles, particularly senior leadership roles
• Experience in negotiations/conflict resolution, effectively balancing among business and technology stakeholders' needs to drive the team towards value added deliverables in the shortest feasible time
• Focus on quality and detail orientation
• Experience with business case development, operational metrics, and value measurement
• Ability to reasonably manage more than one project and team concurrently
• Ability to forecast team capacity and roadmap
• Experience with organizational change management; including communications, training and knowledge transfer methods
• Proactive and assertive communicator with excellence in expectations management among stakeholders
• Responsiveness and quick-turnaround work ethic; keeps stakeholders engaged and well informed at all project stages
• Flexibility in approaching daily work schedule and priorities; not a monolithic thinker
• Excellence in listening to/observation of stakeholders' interests as changes happen

Strongly Preferred
• Hands on experience with robotic process automation (RPA) tools such as Pegasystems, UI Path, Blue Prism, etc. - Pegasystems experience highly preferred
• Hands on experience with business process management (BPM) tools and methodology
• Hands on experience with business process re-engineering (BPR)
• Formal certifications in the skills of training/coaching other professionals
• Masters-level education
• Geographically based in the Washington DC metro area
