Thrivent is looking to add an IT Business Systems Analyst to one of our exciting Robotic Process Automation (RPA) team! The Lead IT Business Systems Analyst leads medium - large initiatives that may be strategic and/or cross-functional by conceptualizing complex business problems and translating business objectives into actionable solutions to deliver the most cost effective, innovative technology solutions for required business needs. This IT BSA will also help convert business requirements documents into technical documents. You should be skilled and experienced in IT requirements capturing.
We will have you gather and analyze industry, functional and... technical information to help design and support information technology solutions, as a liaison people, process, and technology, and serves as the link between technology and the business lines regarding new business solutions or enhancements to existing business solutions. We will task you to be responsible for collaborating with all levels of business and information technology teams to perform analysis, debugging, configuration, testing, training, documentation, implementation and maintenance for existing and new technology solutions..
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Utilize increased understanding of industry trends, business processes and systems capabilities to recommend and lead process improvement and business value discussions.
Partner with other IT BSAs and Solution Architects to ensure end-to-end solutions across teams or organizational boundaries are aligned and will meet business needs.
Partner with enterprise business architects to recommend solution designs using existing and new technologies in alignment with enterprise architecture vision.
Gather and analyze business systems requirements that specify how a business system supports/enables work activity in a business process.
Translate business requirements into technical requirements.
Analyze data to identify patterns and solutions to root causes of problems.
Partner with business and IT partners to drive business value and continuous improvement.
Gather requirements by conducting interviews, work flow analysis, process analysis, and observation.
Balance multiple deadlines and prioritize key deliverables.
Solve technical problems and recommend solutions.
Support testing and facilitate communication to partners.
Document specifications and mapping requirements for workflows, reports, data, and system integrations.
Author technical documentation to support system configuration, business continuity planning and operating procedures.
Assist in preparation of end-use documentation and participate in training as needed.
Support software deployment activities.
Required Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Demonstrated key skills above with applied experience on medium to large efforts for a minimum of 5 years.
Ability to adapt to fluid situations, quick self-learner, and the ability to manage through complexity.
Collaborate in both team settings, across the organizations, and to senior leadership.
Hold yourself accountable, setting a high standard for yourself and those around you.
Optimize work processes through growth in understanding of business requirements, processes, and software.
Experience with Visio, Draw IO, and standard Microsoft office tools.
Employ the appropriate technical tools, which are ever evolving, in all facets.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
Advanced degree or equivalent in MIS, Computer Science or related field.
Insurance or Financial Services Industry experience.
Understanding of Thrivent’s Technology capabilities.
