Position Description

Join our client, a global IT consultancy in their Head of Sales role - a key position in the Senior Leadership team!

The purpose of this role is to develop, lead and implement key growth sales strategies, tactics and action plans for new client business, promoting the brand and its solution offerings of RPA (Robotic Process Automation) and AWS.

The role will also involve the continued nurturing and growth of existing business relationships in the Talent & Management space of the business and technical solutions.

You will be responsible for leading the Sales and Account Management teams to be able to deliver business outcomes.

Main Responsibilities:
• Managing all sales activities within Australia
• Selling outcome-based solution offerings supported by detailed sales plans
• Creating and capturing demand for new and existing business across all industries within the region
• Developing mechanisms to establish new business in target market segments while creating and executing the... go-to-market plan
• Building and developing strong client relations at senior executive and CXO levels
• Generating leads by interacting with analysts, alliances and networking to open doors and gain access to key stakeholders of potential clients by establishing credibility and selling services/solutions offered
• Maintaining sales volume by tracking changing trends, economic indicators, competitors and supply and demand
• Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships
• Partnering with clients to understand their business needs and objectives
• Reporting on forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts
• Developing, testing and refining sales toolkit collateral as required in conjunction with the Capability teams
• Providing appropriate mentoring and training to internal business teams as required
• Attending required relevant events to promote and create the brand and product offering awareness

More About You:
• Extensive experience in the technology field, ideally with exposure to software development
• Comprehensive experience with business development or technical sales
• Demonstrated experience selling AWS services, Robotic Process Automation or emerging technologies
• Experience and success in negotiating complex deals with customers and partners
• Ability to accurately forecast sales
• Previous experience as a sales executive, sales manager or in a presales role
• Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
• Demonstrated ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
• Proven experience in articulating the distinct aspects of tech products and services
• Proven experience in positioning products against competitors
• Ability to motivate, encourage and coach others to develop strong relationship building and sales skills
• Motivated self-starter, proactive and action-oriented
• Strategic problem solving and collaboration skills
• Exceptional people-management skills; able to inspire and foster the right behaviours in others through leading by example
• Excellent interpersonal skills to be able to handle customer and stakeholder groups
• Ability to communicate and build strategies to develop the business
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment whilst demonstrating the ability to work independently and use initiatives
• Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
• Ability to bring creative and innovative ideas and approaches to problem solving
• Bachelor degree, preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science or a technical discipline
